The Dachshund Club of Santa Ana Valley, Inc. (DCSAV) is a
not-for-profit club established in 1978 in Orange County,
California. The objects of the club are:
· To improve the quality of purebred dachshunds
· To promote sportsmanlike competition, combined with
friendly cooperation between owners, breeders, exhibitors,
and others interested in the breed
· To educate members and the public concerning dachshunds,
including their training, breeding, and care
· To educate members and the public on conformation
and field events, as well as the rules and regulations of
the American Kennel Club (AKC)
· To urge members and breeders to accept the standard
of the breed as approved by the American Kennel Club as the
only standard of excellence by which dachshunds shall be judged
· To hold specialty shows, puppy matches, field trials,
earthdog tests, and other events in compliance with the rules
and regulations of the American Kennel Club.

Membership
Membership is open to those interested in the breeding, welfare,
and development of purebred dachshunds. Members must be enthusiasts
of good character who are willing to uphold the above stated
purposes of the club. Members must also be in good standing
with the AKC.
Anyone interested in applying for membership must fill out
an application form, and have the sponsorship of two DCSAV
club members in good standing.

Meetings
Meeting notices are emailed to all members and applicants
in advance with the date, time and location of the upcoming
meeting. Meeting information is also posted on our website.
Guests are welcome to attend. The annual meeting is held every
year in May at which time officers and the board of directors
for the upcoming year are elected.
